Meghalaya:

The land of enchantment or the Abode of clouds, has always been the key attraction for the ardent enthusiasts of nature. Meghalaya is situated on the north-eastern part of India and comprised of different tribes which includes Khasi,Garo and the Jaintia Tribes. The state is bounded on the north by Assam and by Bangladesh on the south. The capital of this state is Shillong and it has a population of 26000.

The south side of the hills is one of the world’s wettest place where the city of Cherrapunji is situated ,the village Mawsynram in Cherrapunji holds the distinction of heaviest yearly rains.

The places one can visit in Meghalaya are Barapani, Nohkalikal falls,Dawki,Thangkharan Park etc.

Most of the people are farmers but the states main products includes coal, correndum etc.
