City of Manchester, England:

The City of Manchester, which was approved city status in 1853, is an urban region of Greater Manchester, England. Previously, most of the city was a part of Lancashire, along with areas in the south of the River Mersey being in Cheshire.

Manchester was the world’s foremost industrialised city and played an essential role throughout the Industrial Revolution.

Two football clubs, Manchester United and Manchester City are world famous. Premier League title holder Manchester United has the largest football club fan-support in the world and Manchester City is the richest football club in the world. Places worth visiting in the city are Manchester Town Hall, Albert Square, Palace of Westminster, CIS Tower, Beetham Tower, Hilton Hotel, Piccadilly Tower, Green Building, award-winning Heaton Park.
